Thank you guys for the help on the fuel system. I think that fixed it. I have newly aquired a T250 with no owners manual or service manual yet so I will have a few questions. What RPM should it run idled up with no load. It runs at about 2380. How do you turn it up if it needs to go up? It may need the Tim Allen treatment for more power. Until I get a service manual, any help will be appreciated.. I will have more questions tomorrow if you like!!

The idle should be lower than that, it should be around the 1,000 RPM mark. As for running, bump it as high as is needed for the work you are doing. I find flat runs, 1/2 throttle is more than enough, when digging 3/4 to flat out makes it run so much better. Its really one of those things you need to play with and see what works for your conditions.

Ok now another question... I have gotten the password from the dealer and looking everything over I have a service code 5-09. It is in the system about 35 times. Also 31-28 once and 3-22 once. Any ideas?

Ok getting a new battery and I think that will cover the power issue. I was working it this weekend and found it was idling for several minutes at a time because of course it wouldnt fire back up because of the battery it would beep every few minutes setting the code again. What should I look at first as to why that pressure is low? Good news please!!

Low charge pressure could be a few things, plugged filter, bad relief, bad sender, weak pump, wear in your piston pump.
The best place to start is the sender. Install a manual pressure gauge and see what the charge pressure is, it should be about 120psi i think.
Even idling, the battery should not go flat, the alternator should be charging it.

Put a meter across the battery. It should be around 12.6 V with engine off and around 14 V with engine running. If not you have wiring or alternator problems. Charge the battery with a plug in AC charger, don't use the alternator to recharge a near dead battery.

have you replaced all filters? If not I would change the hydro filter and that may take care of your charge pressure problem.

Going to replace the battery and that should solve the voltage problem. The oil looks a bit darker than your typical hydraulic oil so I'm most likely changing it too.. The undercarriage is quite dirty from mud and grease. Doesn't look like it was cleaned in a while. Is there anything under the cab I can hurt by pressure washing all of that? Going to order a manual so I can stop asking all the dumb questions!! Thanks guys, y'all have been a big help so far.

To answer your question, no it doesn't look like the filter has been changed in a while. May try to flush the system and refill with fresh oil.

I would pull the battery and charge it overnight with AC charger. Then have it tested. They should apply 1/2 of the battery CCA for 15 seconds and when the carbon pile tester beeps read the voltage. It will tell you if the battery is good or not. The carbon pile tester should have a few temp compensated scales. Its a lot better test than just putting a 50 or 100 amp load on it. A carbon pile tester is not a bad thing to have. not all that expensive.

I will try that first Donald. I think I know a few folks that have a battery tester. Got a few friends in the automotive business.

A carbon pile tester could be on your Christmas wish list!!
Over here, battery shops are happy to test batteries for free as if its dead you will generally buy one on the spot. They hook up a load tester and say yes or no.

They do here also, but often they have cheap testers that do not do a proper test. Some Bobcat batteries are commercial size and need to be bought at a truck or tractor place.

I do have access to the tester and the truck batteries and I just need to get it done. I'm working out of town right now and I just have to find the time to get it done. Hoping I will be home a couple days this weekend.

Downloaded the tradebit version of the service manual for my t250. Several reams of paper and numerous ink cartridges and 965 pages later, I now have a service manual. Word of advice... Unless you have lots of time, paper, and free ink, buy the hard copy!! What a weekend!!

I just keep them on my computer and print the pages I need as I need them.
If they get dirty oh well print more.
Much better then a paper copy imo,
Ken

You need a laser printer for the lowest cost per page. I have a low cost Samsung wireless color laser. It does duplex in a manual fashion, which is not that much of a PIA. I printed some rather large manuals 2-UP and duplex. I do wear reading glasses and 2-UP are readable for me if in decent light.
