Looking for a good price on injector rebuilds for a d950 kubota. I was quoted $75 to $90 usd by one shop does that sound resonable or should I keep looking.
Does anyone have a shop they recommend or know of a resonable place to buy injectors outright.
Thanks Ken

I know a know a guy that owns a diesel injection shop. The injectors for my 1702's cost me about 60 AUD each to put new nozzles in and adjust the crack pressure. If the price of 75-90 USD is for all the injectors, it sounds like a good price to me!

No per injector, I spoke to these guys a year ago and was told 25 each, But waited because it was only missing slightly on one cylinder on startup, now the price has skyrocketed it seems.
Perhap I should call them back just to be sure I wasn't miss quoted
We tested them last year and one was good, one so so and the 3rd leaked well b4 the crack pressure. 200 hours more on it not and it has a definite miss at startup. Want to check my glowplugs to

That price is far too expensive, look around.
If they leak, you can try cleaning them and see how you go. If the crack pressure is too low you can put shims in to increase the pressure. You say it leaks, you may just have a small piece of carbon stuck behind the needle of the injector.
The set i cleaned worked a treat, i pulled them down and threw them in my ultrasonic cleaner then blew down with air and re-assembled with a bit of diesel. I didn't have a tester for the crack pressure, i just hooked it up to an injector pump and cranked it over.
Don't use any metal objects if you do decide to clean them, use soft things like tooth picks or pieces of plastic.
Also, if the injector is leaking like you said, i assume it is dripping? so i hear that is really bad, it can cause pitting on the top of the piston. I don't know if thats just for direct injecton engines or not. Does it blow any sooty smoke when its running? it may just be as you said, a bad glow plug.
I'm sure you will get it sorted out!

After it run for 30 seconds it clears right up, but it starts cold on 2 cylinders and the 3rd hits and misses for 20 or 30 seconds, especially if you set the throttle real low. Blowby is minimal and quite even. Just wanted to tune it up in the off season. I know a couple of them are not good one 95% one 60% one 20% so to speak.

In that case, i do think they should be attended to :)
For that price, i would defiantly shop around! I'm sure you could get a better price than that.

Thanks everyone. New injectors are available from Kubota engine parts. $60 was the best I found. So I guess I'll give the little guy a tune up. Another shop had said $28 plus parts but then I'd of had freight both ways so I went new.

This way you have spares if you ever need them.
