97 New holland 665t uses oil

I have a 665t with 2300hrs, it starts good,has lots of power but its burning oil bad, when idling it starts to smoke blue, when you rev it up it burns blue for a couple of minutes and then clears up but not totally. There is oil visible in the exhaust pipe, air filters are clean, engine has no knocking, no blow bye, has anybody ran into this, there is no oil in the rad. I dont even know what type of engine is in it.

If the t stands for turbo I would guess the seals in the turbo are gone There are a few posts here on this problem.

How many hours do you get out of a quart of oil? Do you have a manual? There are some guidelines on trouble shooting oil consumption in there.
