i think its a 444 model bobcat. cap has 4 screws holding it on i think a 1960s model

It's likely the engine is a Wisconsin if the cap has hold down screws. The 444 came with a Wisconsin or a Onan engine. The Onan cap was a clip on if I remember right.

From the looks of the picture that's a magneto ignition. Does it have a tag on it showing the manufacturer?
