Good morning everyone, Bought a 2007 S250 BC 6 months ago and Saturday it started acting up. At first I got two codes: 17-06 and 15-03. I checked the fuses and relays and found that the relay for the park solenoid was broken off at one pin. After I replaced that it still didnt want to de-activate the park solenoid, after some more searching I found that the wire to that pin of the relay was very corroded. I replaced that wire and that started to work again, so now I can move the BC around. But the other problem still remains, I cant get the the arms or bucket to move, the "lift & tilt valve" lights is flashing and I get the 17-06 code. I tried looking around to find some loose wires for a bad ground but I cant find any. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Tia, TC

hydraulic lock vavle solinoid shorted to ground 17-06 ------traction lock pull solinoid error off 15-03 , on the controll vavle at the bottom is a coil , it has two wire going to it and is held in plae by a 3/4 hex plastic black nut , unplug the wire going to it and probe the two wires coming off the coil and you should read 11 ohms , if not replace that coil

Thnx for the reply Fishfiles. The traction lock pull solenoid errorr off 15-03 was because the relay to the solenoid was corroded, that I got fixed and the error is off. The only problem remaining is the hydrualic lock valve solenoid shorted to ground 17-06. The solution you wrote is for that error 17-06? And where can I find this control valve? Left or right side of the BC? Tia, TC

yes 17-06 hydraulic lock vavle , stops the boom and tilt from working with the cab up and looking from the front of the machine the controll vavle is on the left side and has all the steel tubes going to it , the part you are looking for is about 1 1/4 " round and about 1 1/2" long , black and has two wires coming out of it about 4" long with a weather tite plug , the way it works is : it's a magnet that slides over a stem , when voltage goes thru it it shifts the plunger inside the stem , you can't see the stem till you remove the coil , good luck

Hi Fishfiles, Is this what we are talking about? http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=153016&l=cef60&id=1390926339 If so you where I can buy one? Thanks a lot Fishfiles. TC

I measured it and it reads 11 ohms but on the inside of the coil where it slides over the stem there are like 2 worn places where I can see copper wires. They are not sticking out though but I think maybe it will conduct electricity and cause the short???

That's the coil.
Its possible its shorting out if you can see the windings.

tyan707 .sorry for the late reply , been out of town for the holiday and just returned , yes thats the coil which controlls the hydraulic lock on the tilt and boom , you can test it off the machine by hooking it to 12 volts and putting a metal rod such as a screw driver thru it , it should magnetize and pull the driver to it's sides of the hole , , the stem which it sits on could be sticking if the coil test ok , you can remove the stem from the valve and put the coil over it , apply voltage and you can see and hear it pop , you could have a problem with the wiring going to the coil , where the cross bar goes across the chain case to the controll vavle is a spot where I have seen it wear into th wiring , it may not be getting a signal (voltage) from the controller , another thing I have seen is the insulation on the wires gets broke off right where the wires go into the coil and may be shorting there

Do you guys have the part # for me for that coil. I live in Bonaire and there's no BC dealer on the island so I need to order it from the States. And I also need a place that sells them. Thanks for all the replies and the time, you guys have helped me out alot. Thanks again, TC

where is Bonaire ? , I'd guess if I were you I'd go to Bobcats website and use the dealer locator to get the dealer closest to you

http://www.geographia.com/bonaire/ Bonaire doesnt show up in the choices of countries listed by the BC website. But I Found a BC dealer in Miami, FL. Now I just need to find out the part number for that coil. Did get BC running again, I used some strong magnets at where the coil used to be and it's working alright, just get the light flashing indicating the coil error but it works for now.

Thanks ,ml , for the link ----- beeing a diver and having traveled to a lot of the islands in the Carribean I don't know how I missed and never heard of that one , looks like some place I would like to go --------------tyan707 , you could call Duhon Machinery in St Rose , La , they ship abroad I know , ask for Brian Townson , parts manager @ 504 466 5495 and tell him you know Don , I am sure he can take care of you

Thanks for fixing the link for me ML.
Fishfiles, Bonaire is very known for its underwater world, eventhough it's a very small island we rank in the top spots for diving in the Caribbean. Thanks for the info. Some videos of Bonaire http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=bonaire+diving&search_type=&aq=3&oq=bonaire

Nice videos , am I right that now I realize Bonaire is same as the Dutch Antilles

Partly right, Bonaire is part of the Dutch Antilles till the 1st of Jan 2009. After that Dutch Antilles supposively wont exist no more.
Wow, so what happens then , does bonaire become a country of itself or is it a territory --------did you make a call for the coil ? I think they are around $50 US , I have never researched availabillity from after market sources---------

Bonaire, St. Eustatius and Saba will become territory of The Netherlands, Curacao and St. Maarten will get an autonomous in the The Netherlands just like Aruba. I didnt make a call yet, thought they are closed on Saturdays. Hopefully when I call they get understand what I need as I dont have a part number, hopefully the part number on the coil could be of any use. Thanks Fishfiles,
TC

I doubt the bobcat part number is on the coil , bobcat numbers , except for bolts , fittings and orings , usually aways start with 66 so if the number starts like that it maybe , if you ask for a " hydraulic lock coil " which slides over the stem and explain it to them it will be no problem , it is a very common part to go out -------- the only mistake I could see them making is giving you the spool lock solinoid , which there are 2 of them , one for each function , they screw into the end of the controll valve and have a pin which locks the spool from moving , the foot pedals will be locked and not movable if the solinoids were not releasing , so make sure the know that is not what you want , I know you are a long way away so maybe ask them for a fax of a parts break down so you can see the part that you will be getting , I have a 250 service manuel but no part book to give you the part number , I have changed so many of them I can almost recall the number out my head , I am thinking 6664127 but don't go with that
