anybody here capable of pulling up kubota part numbers from the bobcat numbers. I need a new head for the 2203. my local Kubota dealer thinks he has the head - for around 800 bucks new - quite a bit cheaper than bobcat - but he needs to know what bobcat part number crosses to Kubota - to make sure it's the correct head. in the past he says that Bobcat is very secretive about that info - probably because the mark up the same piece by 3 or 4 hundred bucks. So can anyone give me the Kubota number for the head from a V series 2203 Carl Johansson

I don't have the number but I would take your head to them and compare them. The 2203 comes in many configurations in both direct and indirect injection and some governed for constant speed.
I would hope the Kubota dealer would be able to identify your casting number and cross reference it. The times I asked the parts guys to look something up they only had the Bobcat Parts numbers available in their system.

Lets see if Bobcat Parts Manager chimes in here...

As far as i was aware, all the indirect injecton V2203 heads were the same. The govenor is mounted in the block not the head so i figured it would be the same.....
Its a good idea taking the head to the shop, that way you know for sure its rite. The price sounds pretty good too. But i'm assuming that s a bare head? you will need to get your valves done, new valve stem seals etc.
