Hydraulic Oil leaking but can't find where .

Help Support SkidSteer Forum:

I take it A/C dye isn't the right dye !
Will it damage the oil or pump components ?

I wouldn't use that in the hydraulics. Ester absorbs water at a high rate and you could wind up with streaky oil and possibly clogged filter. Just get the right stuff and not worry about it messing something up

This is what Russ is talking about. Atleast with this you can use it for all your fluid finding needs. It's $30 here, I haven't looked at amazon. Been a busy day.
Not trying to butt in Russ, I had the pic up already just hadn't sent it yet. Hope you get it found!!! I hate leaks and squeaks!!!

Thanks Chris, much appreciated.....

I've had hydraulic oil leak after oil leak on my old 743 and cannot find this last one. I must say it's got me a bit flustered, I cannot find this last leak . The last one was the oil pressure switch, and only found that when I lifted the cab and started it up to find where it was coming from....

Finally found that oil leak ! Only took a year and a few months after many degreasing and a couple of drums of oil....
Found a hose not fully screwed on under the cab,was a bugger to get to and it only leaked after getting hot....I mainly use my bobcat in short spurts to clean out the stables and sheep yards here at Ketana....
So thanks everyone who replied to my post, much appreciated.
