So there are pros and cons for each. Im simply asking your opinion and why you think your choice is better (maybe include your application/how often used). My dad and I have been going debating for some time now. Im just curious what you guys think!

I'm not the guy to have an opinion but I remember seeing some CTL vs SSL comparisons and pros and cons of each on YouTube if you search deep enough. Also on a site called Equipment World.

Honestly, it depends on what work you plan on doing.
Tracks are great for soft soil and not making as much of a mess as a tyred machine. They do cost more to run, as tracks are expensive, the final drives are more too, so keep them serviced.
Tyres are cheaper, they do make more of a mess when driving on grass.

Tires are faster in ground speed. Tracks have a lower ground pressure. Tracks are known to be easier on turf compared to tires but I have to be really careful with my C185 to no tear up turf. Even my CTL with a full load of pavers still puts a lot of ground pressure based on the tracks it will leave in my yard. A wheeled machine would be worse. There is more to wrong with a CTL. A wheeled machine has motors, drive chains, axles, wheels, and tires. A CTL has motor/final drives ($$$), rear idlers, bogie idlers (4), front idlers, tracks ($$), and adjustment hardware. A CTL can work on much softer conditions without getting stuck. You can get them stuck, usually at the bottom of a creek.
