I lifted the cab and tried to get to the heater blower to no avail. Took all the screws I could see out and it still wouldn't come off. Heater gets hot, but won't move much air. I took a hose and ran water down the vent on the inside top of the seat and I am only getting water down the one side. Took the plastic vents off the inside of the cab and tried to clean up in the ducts toward the blower. To no avail, the air is still barely blowing from the heater, but the fans are turning. Any idea how I actually get to the blower and blower motor? Any other suggestions? Thanks.

To get to the fan motor....Remove the 2 nuts, 1/2 inch wrench that hold the hvac unit to the backside of the cab and 'roll' the unit away from the cab. The nuts may be hidden by the thick foam insulation but they are there.

To the backside of the cab?! So when I lift the cab I should see it? And they are 2, 1/2" nuts? They must be covered. Thanks for the info, I'll give it a try today.

Got the unit out, thanks for the assistance; was a whole lot easier than I thought. The entire core was plugged with dirt and grass, straw, etc. The guy who owned it before I guess thought the two filters to keep crap out of the heating system were there for decoration. Got it cleaned out the best I could and put the unit back together. This will have to be the best it gets 'cause I don't want to pay the $200 for the new heater core unit. Thanks for all the help.

They are easy to find. There are 4, 1/2" nuts and mine were NOT covered by insulation. They are surrounding the "box" part of the HVAC unit. They are NOT the panhead screws. Getting the unit back in was the #($&*@#&$(. The bolts that need to go through the HVAC unit, attached to the back of the operator's compartment, move around and are not fixed. Trying to wedge the unit back in there and align the bolts was a *#$&(#$*.

I have a 773g also and my blower motor isn't working.looks like it is seized so have to replace it.i lifted the cab and removed the cover.beside the fan assembly is a small radiator (not sure what that is.maybe the heater core?).do I have to remove the radiator to get the blower unit out.if so is there a secret or easy way to get it out or move it without disconnecting the lines. thanks.....BW
