    What I did it because there is no happy place for that control, I cut a notch in the planel to which the it lock so I don't accidental bump it. If you like more detail I can maybe get a pic to you some how.

    Gehl 2600 Hydro trans?

    Have a 2600 have had both of my hydro repbuilt. One cost me 742.00 just seals and cleaning that was done locally. The other a total rebuilt 724.00 by Quality Hydro, in wisconsin and I had to ship it there.

    I have 2600 series I like to sale. I have 4200 into mine asking 5000 for it. I think there easy to work on just finding some parts are hard. I also have a 2500 no motor that I like to move for part or as whole. see it on CL wausau, wi. Did not replace that drive belt yet.

    Sound like you have something backwards.The pumps on the hydros ever been off. I had one that rebuilt and they put the pump on backward.

    Sounds like air in the hydraulic system. The adjustment in the linkage is pulling on it.

    On the back side of the hydro motor there might be some clip on there. They should not be depressing the pin on the hydro motor if there are that might be the problem. The clips are for moving the machine when you lose the hydrulic system. You install them on the back side of the hydro motor...

    I know where this a part manual an then some. I have 2600 I just rebuilt practically. Both hydro rebuilt, both towers new bearing and seals. One tower rebuilt bottom gear and pin. all new fluid, all new tires and rims. I can answer some of your questions.
