I'm also looking for year made for bobcat 553 s/n 5203 11686 and wondering as I'm in australia if the local dealers may register the year made as the year importedit was shipped to the dealer on 28 dec. of 03. warranty started on 18 apr of 05 with 1485 hrs.
Are you joking with me or is this really so? The guy I got it from said he thought it was a 99 model. But he has owed 20 bobcats over the years, sometimes he had 5 at a time, so I suspect that he does not know for sure. But this week, I pulled the blower motor and it had a date of 03???? So therefore, it was 03 or after or the blower was replaced after 03. If your not joking with me, how did you get that info?it was shipped to the dealer on 28 dec. of 03. warranty started on 18 apr of 05 with 1485 hrs.
Mr. Deere works for a dealer. Only the dealers can find this kind of information for you.Are you joking with me or is this really so? The guy I got it from said he thought it was a 99 model. I don't know why people are so concerned with having year associated with their machines. These machines are not like automobiles that have model years. All service and parts are serial number driven. As you can see from the reply the dealer had this machine on the lot for 16 months before it was sold. Did he tell the buyer it was made in 2003 likely not, all the buyer needed to know was that it was unused.Mr. Deere works for a dealer. Only the dealers can find this kind of information for you.
I guess it makes me feel good to think I got a newer machine, regardless of the hours. No, I think it makes me feel like I got a better deal.I don't know why people are so concerned with having year associated with their machines.
