On my 2001 709 backhoe I just bought I have the x-change system with the two bolts that go through the plate to hold the bucket on, not the pin. I realize they upgraded to the pin to make the swap out easier....are there any inherit problems with the bolt on system? My dealer says it's about $ 1000 to swap it over...true?

I have the same x-change set up. I always make do with the bucket I have so I never fool with the bolts. Changing buckets is a pain with either system when you're by yourself. I'm almost always on my own. I use an 11 inch bucket, 709 and an 853H. I don't think it could handle a bigger bucket and the 709 doesn't have much reach to do anything too fancy anyway. I mostly dig drainage ditches and waterpipe trenches with the 709 just my2 cents
