is there someone in the Des moines,Iowa area that has a 542b bobcat that would be willing to let me look at it. thanks
I bought a 542b Serial number 508512667 with a bad engine I am putting in Toyota 20R .The bobcat has distributorless ignition which I don't need but I do need to know which wire to use for run position and which to use for start.I was going to cut out the dis wiring but I think it contains wires that I need.I have the motor bolted up to the hydro pump that was easy it sticks out 7inches thru the back but I will just extend the rear gate.ThanksSorry i don't have one, but what info do you need?
The wiring in the older machines is really quite simple if you take the time to trace it.
Sounds like you need this schematic I've got in my hand. If you want it, email me and I'll hook you up.I bought a 542b Serial number 508512667 with a bad engine I am putting in Toyota 20R .The bobcat has distributorless ignition which I don't need but I do need to know which wire to use for run position and which to use for start.I was going to cut out the dis wiring but I think it contains wires that I need.I have the motor bolted up to the hydro pump that was easy it sticks out 7inches thru the back but I will just extend the rear gate. Thanks
Thanks for the help.I got it wired and the Toyota starter engages the stock ford flywheel. It took awhile to figure out the wiring to get the Toyota igntion to fire up but thats done. Now all I have to do is mount coolers.I hope the stock radiator will cool the 20r.The engine is about 7 inches longer so I will need to expand the rear hatch but I see no problems.Sounds like you need this schematic I've got in my hand.
