I'm sorry to beat a dead horse with oil questions, but I've searched for the last 2 hours and I can't seem to find a straight answer. I live in Coastal California, temps rarely go below 40 in the winter, and not above 100 in the summer. I've searched and looked at all the different oil charts, but I'm nervous about the additives / anti foaming requirements. The machine is an 843 with an Isuzu engine. The manual says bobcat brand hydraulic fluid, or 10-30 motor oil. After researching online, I read that bobcat put out a bulletin no longer recommending the use of motor oil. I did top off the fluid with ~2 qts 15-40 Rotella shortly after picking up the machine per my dealer's recommendations (they didn't sound too confident).

The nearest bobcat dealer is about 2 hours away with no traffic, 3+ hrs with traffic. Can anyone suggest something safe I can pick up at Napa, Walmart, or any of the local auto stores? Maybe with a part number / exact name ? Trying my best to avoid "universal tractor transmission fluid".

Thanks in advance.
