have a CASE 1845C that is acting up. When trying to negotiate a turn it is nearly impossible due to the fact that one wheel is turning one direction while the other wheel is turning the opposite direction ONE THE SAME SIDE! I'm a decent mechanic but new to skid steers and although I'm a seasoned opportator I've had little experience turning wrenches on one of these puppys. Valving? Linkage? Don't know where to start. Thanks is advance! Larry

Hi Tristar500,
I have moved your post to the Case page to get the appropriate visibility.
Good Luck - SR

There is one hydraulic motor on each side (left and right). Each motor drives both wheels on that side through a pair of chains. So your description rules out any kind of hydraulic or lever problem. Most likely a chain problem, so the first thing I'd do is pull off both the front and rear chain case covers on that side. They are the rectangular covers with a bolt in the center. And visually check to see if you have a broken chain.

Nice! I'm hoping for an easy, cheap fix. Will take a look and post my findings! Thanks again!
