I have an old bobcat melroe 500 not sure of the year but I was driving it around the yard the other day and turned around and all of a sudden the right rear wheel locked up. I need help getting pointed in the right direction on where the problem is. Thanks in advance!

Broken 'final drive' chain that has wedged itself in there and doesn't allow the wheel to turn. You will have too remove the viewing panel to get to it.

it is belt drive. and i believe hydrastatic. does this still have drive chains? just asking because i don't know a lot about these and i have not seen a chain cover anywhere. also, both left wheels spin and the front right wheel also spins.

The 500 is a 'belt drive' machine…….it is not a hydrostatic machine. The 'primary', 'secondary' and 'final' drive chains are inside the side walls on either side of the machine with a viewing panel on each side. Your 'final' drive chain to that wheel is broken.
