I am looking to sell my Bobcat but I dont know what its worth. What do you think? I have a 1995 Bobcat 743 that I bought to do some land renovations to my house. These projects are just about done and I am thinking of now getting rid of the machine. Tires are in very good conditionand it has rebuilt fuel injectors as well as all new fluid. It also has a new front tilt hydraulic actuator and a brand new battery. She runs good, starts on the first try, and is reliable I just dont really need it anymore. The machine could use a paint job and possibly a new seat since this one is currently ripped. The guages are in the machine but they do not work and may just need to be connected. The warning lights work correctly. I have all receipts for work I have done to the machine and a full set of manuals including owners manual, parts manual, and service manual. She has 3500 hours on her.

Lately I've seen 743's go from $4000-7500 on ebay and craigslist. Your machine would probably sell in the $5000-6500 range IMO. You can buy a new seat for $80-100 on ebay which might make a big difference in its appearance for not much cost. The manuals would add another $150.

I would agree with replacing the seat. Little stuff that make the machine looks better goes along way. I have seen people buy machines that had a rattle can overhaul, paid top dollar for it, use it an hour to find out the head is cracked. Anyways, back to your machine, a good 743 I would start at $7000 with your bottom dollar of $5000. I would give it a good wash and maybe fix the gauges.

I'm gonna be in the same boat here soon. 743s bring good money here. Mine is in good shape and almost done being painted with new decals. Seat is good, gauges work. Unsure of how many hours probably around 4500 or so. Previous owner installed new kubota head and drive chains. tires have some weather checking but 60-70% tread. Will come with bucket and homemade quick tach forks. I'm thinking $6500. I paid $7500 for the 873. As much as I love the 743, to get a machine thats 13 years newer, probably less hours, vertical lift, long wheelbase, double the lift capacity and hp, roughly $1000 difference seemed like a no brainer. If I get a deal on another 743 down the road I'll buy it.

Well, I put it for sale in the classifieds and listed it locally so we will see how it goes.
