Put in a new electric fuel pump and lots of pressure 5-7psi bled the line to the inj pump lots of fuel turn on heaters for a bit and turn key get some white smoke from the exh and a whiff of either and it runs and then dies and what is really bad is it is on the trailer. What is this excess fuel button for? seems to be a little weak, appears to have something to do with shutting off fuel from the way the throttle in full idle contacts the mechanism. Thanks Folks Jim

Got it going YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA had something to do with the excess button had to snap in the down position.
I found that you need to have the throttle up a little for the excess fuel button to click down.
It sure does make cold weather starting easy.

I am going to wing this . If you have a simms or mec pump with the vacuum fuel pump on the side . the fuel button sometimes sticks in if the rubber boot is gone pull the button out open throttle more than half way push putton in and you will hear the rack reset . The button was stuck on my 9600 ford when I bought it cheap . used it for 3 months befor I found it . Fodr calls it a cold start button I MAY BE WRONG Gearbox
