Looking to purchase a bobcat for my personal use to landscape my new house in Az. Moving lots of rock and spreading granite landscape rock, and leveling for a driveway,I found a 463 for $11900 DOLLARS 2007 very little hours. I think it is only 22.5 horsepower. Is this large enough for what I need? Thanks any input would be appreciated.Al

Where in AZ? If you plan to dig you need to worry about caleeche. Kind of a natural cement. Takes plenty of H.P. and a small bucket or jack hammer. If you are in the valley and land has been turned by developer, then I would go with a 700 series, nothing less. I moved a lot of dirt rock and crushed granite while I lived there. Bigger is always better. Worked for me. sstec

Caliche is a common problem in southern Arizona soils. Caliche is layer of soil in which the soil particles are cemented together by calcium carbonate (CaCO3). These layers may form at or below the soil surface.

you don't say how big a property you are working on..If the 463 is the only machine that will fit into the spaces you are working in it is great . a first time operator will find themselves shoveling dirt into the bucket quite a bit ,with its lite weight and short wheelbase it takes a little experience to get a 463 to be productive. nothing against the machine it's just that in inexperienced hands it's a motorized wheelbarrow with a seat .also the price seems a little high unless the machine is in very good condition ..
