What dump trailer is best for a John Deere 333

Has anyone used a 7' wide trailer for John Deere 333?

I have a John Deere skidsteer 333 and am looking for a dump trailer for transporting. Has anyone had experience with this? The width of this skidsteer is about 6.5' and the average dump trailer is 7' wide which only gives a few inches of clearance for loading. I looked for 8x16 dump trailers but they are all deckover dump trailer and are not low profile like the 7x16 trailers which I have heard isn't the safest option.

the key to right trailer is spec's, will it fit, and will it hold the weight
since every skid steer can have a different sized bucket on it, the only person that know YOUR spec's on it is YOU
from there you pull up spec's on trailers your looking at, and well, if it ifs it fits
one thing your going to find out with ANY dump trailer, is they sort of SUCK for hauling skid steers,
trying to get in them to attach chains is a pain in the A$$ , but you need to chain them down to be legal

and also just keep in mind, I have NO clue where your located at, but in many states, once you get to a certain weight rating on trailer, or total on what your towing you need more than a basic drivers lic's
in many states, you end up needing a CDL added to your lic, to haul more than 10k behind your truck, , its also why many trucks for yrs had 10k ratings on them,
so make sure you know before you go and BUY a trailer, and or start towing , DOT in my state love to hand out BIG fines for folks that don't follow the rules on towing
here they also know that to have a pickup truck towing past 10 k, you basically NEED to have DOT # posted on the side of the truck, so , if you drive by towing larger skid steers excavators,. and no visible DOT # on side of truck, they pretty much are stopping you and checking things!
so hard to b missed here when towing bigger things with a pickup truck
so check your states laws

That is good information to know, thank you. My state requires CDL for a single vehicle GVWR over 26k. With the weight of this skidsteer being about 10k and if we go with an 8x16 trailer they weigh about 5400lbs. If we use a heavy duty pickup that may get us to the 26,000 limit. I will keep this in mind while we look for a new pickup truck. I am helping out my boss with my little knowledge in dump trailers so this thread and others have been very helpful. Any advice is appreciated!

another thing to consider is when you get into the weight class your at, your really asking a LOT from a bumper pull trailer, IMP and experience!

most folks that tow this heavy tend to find goose neck trailers are way better at handling the load, and easier to turn around, just way more pro's than con's to them
and most tend to NOT tow so heavy with a pick up as well, as your asking a LOT from a pick up truck, don't care what the door rating says
when your up[ near the max, your asking a lot
truck most likely weight close to 8-9k,m skid steer 10+ k, trailer 5+ k,
that's a lot of weight behind a pick up truck, even a dully! 1 ton!
that;s more the range of 4500-5500's series trucks and larger IMO<
if you live in flat lands, no real hills and drive SMART slower than speed limits
you an for sure get by
but if you lived here where I am, hills every few miles, 20-800 ft in elevation changes , you'd be asking for some bad luck to find you! not to mention the added wear and tear on the tow vehicle!
and NOT bashing anyone that used what they have or??

there are better tools for the task than a HD 3/4-1 ton pick up! and if dead set using one, IMO< a 5th wheel trailer set up better that a bumper pull set up!

and lastly, a JD 333G weights more like 12k+ or - pending set up and bucket/implement on it!
don;'t know what exact model 333 you have, so, might want to double check what specs list it at, or better yet, have it weighed at a local scale and know 100% what YOURS weights with fluids in it/bucket /attachment you plan to tow on it

nothing like really knowing what something weights when buying a trailer for it, that is a chunk of change on the line
this again insures you YOUR machine will work on it

if you are using a rubber tracked or tire machine a bed over the tires type trailer would work out ,but if you have steel ott ,I would not use them on steel ramps,to me that is to slippery and a accident waiting to happen. a low trailer steel ott are ok if carefull. of course ramp lenght is the key of keeping the angle reasonable.
