A bob cat owner says in cold weather condition that if you spray w/d 40 in a diesel engine in the air breather that it would start right away without using glow plugs. Does any one in the forum know if this is true. Would not want to try it and make damages to my 743. thanks andy

Use the search function and if you put in "ether starting diesel" there are a lot of posts on this subject.

Its best to just use the glow plugs, you may need to glow a litle longer though, unless your compression is low.
