My son in law has a 1960 Melroe M400. This was the first year of the true 4 wheel drive skidsteer. Before the name Bobcat was attached. The unit runs beautifully, but cosmetically, it needs a restoration. I'm also sure, there will be a few mechanical issues to deal with. But, it runs, drives, and functions very well. It technically does not belong to my son in law, but rather to the estate of his father. They will be having an estate auction in about 2 months, and this unit may be on the auction. My question: does this unit have any collector value. What would be the current condition value (sorry, no pics yet). If a person would restore, would it have an even better value. I may consider purchasing it, if I can get it for the right price. Thanks Greg
