1st of all I'm a long time reader 1st time poster.
I have a Bobcat 742 that came with a Ford 1.6 gas engine. I recently bought a 743 with a bad hydro but a great V1702 and swapped the engines. I heard the 743 run for 30 min before I bought it. I got the engine installed and it would start and run for 15-20 sec then die. Bleed the lines and it may take 5 or so tries before it will start again and run for a few seconds. I have replaced fuel lines and o-rings. I have bypassed the tank and filter with a jug, same result. I have replaced the fuel pump thinking the diaphragm may have cracked the few months in between the swap, same result. Most recently I replaced the injectors on the advice of a diesel mechanic I spoke with, same result. Everytime ends the same, 10-15 sec of run time. Can crack an injection line and air/bubbles galore. The only thing I haven't replaced is the injection pump but I did replace the o-rings when I put new fuel lines on. Any help or ideas would sure be appreciated. Thanks
