I am looking for a NH ss so I frequently cruise the adds in Poland's equivelant to "EE-Bay and the other day I came across what I believe is an LX 565 with counter weights welded to the rear of the boom arms. that just seems to me to be "counter productive. The weight would move forward as it lifted and it would raise the cg. I can think of al kinds of minuses and almost no pluses. Has anyone seen this before? I agree that it is an odd spot to mount them, but it still sits behind the rear wheels and will give you more lifting abilities, yet it will also mean when there is no load, it will be less stable.
Bobcat mount weights to the rear axle tubes or you can install tubes and water fill your tyres.
Having weight on your axles means it will not mess with it's stability when there is no load in the bucket.
