Has anyone had to split open the final drive completely? After taking out all the planetary gears, it was still leaking from a seal in between the cases.
Could not figure out how to get it apart, so took it to Caterpillar, and they had to send it away to a shop that had a ("special Spanner tool with 1500 lbs torque") has anyone else had to deal with this ,is this a real thing?
