On my 863-F .. I am working out all the "problems".it came with. Next is the parking brake / Traction lock. I have checked the fuse (good). When I sit in chair/ lap- bar down I hear a POP... sounds like it's working. But NO parking brake. Are they the same? I tried to remove the Brake Traction Solenoid and the plunger is stuck in there. To see if the Guts are in there ( people remove parts) Does it Unscrew or how does it come out? Plunger part I have checked the parking brake wire (single wire) as far as I can follow it. What else should I be checking for? I will need a brake. Thank you. Todd

Its odd the plunger is in there and the brakes are not working. You removed the smaller bolts from the solenoid with a 7/16 socket, the larger bolts, 9/16 head, below the solenoid will have to be removed to gain access to the brake wedge assembly.

I have switched Relays & checked the fuse. All good. Yes the 7/16" two bolts. For Solenoid. Let me ask this: when the machine is running and I go to put the parking brake on (bottom right floor area) Should it Lock (Solenoid) and when I release the parking brake would it make that loud "Pop"? Thank you for any Advice. Todd

So the plunger is stuck in the retracted position and won't extend to act as a brake?
The obvious thing that comes to mind in that case is that it got bent or burred up and is stuck. It pulls in under solenoid power, but only goes out on spring force, if it's like the one's I've seen.
Don't know if they come apart (easily), but you could try and grab it with some needle nose pliers and pull it out. Clean it up with some sandpaper* until it bench tests okay again.

*which for me would be a Dynafile mini belt sander or 2" roloc sanding disc.
