Tire sealants

Hello All, I am new to this forum. I have a 10 y/o NH LX 885 that has 1575 hours. I run Grouser tracks in muddy conditions. I have never used any tire sealant and have kept a plug kit in the truck. Nails are 99% of my problem. It is tire time now and the tire dealer sells a product called Ride-On. They make a over the road as well as a off road mix. I'd love to have a set of foam tires but here is North Carolina the going rate for 12-16.5's is 2300.00. To put these tires on my machine doesn't work for me. What are the none foam operators here using to kept their tires in top shape. I'd love the Nu-Airs that McLaren has but a lot of $$$ and things are SLOW here is NC. Thanks Tom

I have had good success with a product called slime www.slime.com with nail punctures.
The bullman line is a less expensive version of the McLaren tire, has a larger dia rim and a shorter sidewall.

I broke down and bought a set of SolidBoss apperture tires. They ought to last a while. Thanks guys! Tom

Sorry Im too late to this thread....I would have tried to talk you out of the segmented tires if I had been earlier. Worst ride, damage one segment and the replacement is now a built in speed bump.

Hi Plasmaguy, did you install your new tires already? I'm wondering how good is the cushioning on your new tires; how do they ride and compare with the pneumatic?
We have been running both Bullman and NuAir flat proof tires for a long time and have been very pleased with their wear and cushioning, especailly the NuAir tires. But I wonder how the other tires are doing out there...
It's good you didn't get the AirBoss segmented tires -- you've saved yourself from a nightmare!

Rock, I bought the SolidBoss aperture tire. They have a standard and heavy duty.I opted for the HD version. This is my first aperture tire and I am very pleased to date. Their pricing was good and freight was very fair too. McClaren wanted me to pickup at their location in SC and round-trip I would have been on the road 6 hours. They would not ship freight collect either and their freight price was double that of SolidBoss. Thanks and good luck! PG

I was told that around here if you bring in a tire that has been juiced that they will charge an extra 10 bucks because of the mess. but then again if you never bring it in. whos the wiser?
