Tilt Rod?

Just got a call from the dealer, apparently my TS60R has a bad tilt rod....I'm assuming that this is the part inside the machine? But he says not available and I have to get a whole unit, at 900 bucks....anyone got any idea what this part is? Thanks in advance.

The tilt rod should be the piece of metal that extends from the hydraulic cylinder.
A machine shop may be able to make you a new one for less that a whole new cylinder.
