I have a hydraulic question on a Mustang 332, tilt cylinder settles quickly. I seen some Utube video on take cylinder lines off and cap ports on cylinder and see if it moves would test cylinder packing seals. if that passes check pressure valves for tilt. does anybody have a diagram on the valve body as to which is the tilt and which is the lift pressure valve? or how they are designated, just dont want to take apart with out concentrating on the one I need to check. hopefully I will find a split O ring or a obvious issue Plan on working on it next weekend thanks in advance

Most always its internal seals in cylinders that leak causing the drop, im not sure which would be the the tilt valve, but following your linkage back to the valve will tell u. some of those valves were a 1 pc cast block with double or triple spools depending if it has auxiliary remotes on it. not a lot to repair inside the block, spools are a machined fit. if the seal kit at the cylinder doesnt fix it, its usually scarring on the spool or block from metal contamination, when the spool is in the neutral position, its just the condition of the spool & the block thats keeping the oil from bypassing, the only thing the seals on the valve block do is keep oil from leaking externally.

thanks Firefighter, I was leaning towards the cylinder seals, as location easier to get to, no external leaks at any of the valves, I rebuilt the lift cylinders couple years ago, with all new fluid and filters then, not many hours since then, I will get it off and go to a local hydraulic shop for some seals and repost results thanks again
