My tilt cylinder seems to work fine but the previous owner seemed to have abused machine (no grease) I've rebushed bobtach now I need to repair/replace lower "eye" on tilt cylinder Any one know where I can purchase a new eye that I could weld to ram?? Any suggestion is appreciated.

Find someone with a lathe, they are easy to make! Just when you weld it on, it MUST be straight and you must ensure you do a good weld. Grind it into like a flat point and weld the back and front, work your way out so you KNOW you have a good weld all the way up. If not, you risk having it break off when under load. If using a stick welder lay a weld, then chip the slag off, if needed grind the spots that didn't stick just rite and keep building it up.
Good luck!

i took my cylinder apart and had a shop bore the "eye"out so i could put a bushing in it . I used a needle bearing inner race for the bushing. i got a size that fit the bobcat pin , and now i have a replaceable bushing on the eye end of my cylinder. my s250 came with replaceable bushings...i haven't changed them yet so i don't know if they used a "off the shelf" size or if it will be a dealer only part!!!!

For sure, make it so you can install a bushing! if you go that far you may as well do it so its easy to change if required.

Thank you for the responses. I really like the replaceable bushing idea.
