Does anyone have any experience with the motorized three point adaptors available from SkidsteerSolutions? I have several three point implements that would be nice to use on the skid as well, mainly the snowblower and the rototiller. If I can make them work on the skid then I can sell the tractor. Thanks.

It just depends on the equipment your wanting to run. You can only get so much horse power out the hyd motor & your hyd flow frm your skidsteer. I was looking into building one, with 18gpm I'm thinking something like 25 hp. so what size tractor are you trying to replace?

2000 bobcat 773 16.9 gom at 3000 psi is 27 hp
Mr Jimi is building one of these hyd pto adapters.
I drive a 60" brusher with a 6 cubic inch motor and 17 gals gives me about 540 rpm (same as tractor pto speed) Personally I think it works great.

The tractor is a Ford 1710 3cyl diesel with about 23 pto hp. The skid is a New Holland LS160 HiFlow Superboom. The hydraulics give me 24gpm @2400psi on hiflow I believe. Should give as much or more hp than the tractor does. The tractor struggles with the 6 foot blower when it is hard packed or deeper than 16 in.

Seach Hydraulic horse power formula and you should find one that show how to figure you hp but with that flow and pressure your likely @ 35 hp.
More then your tractoe has I'm sure.
Blowning snow with the skidsteer also allows you to easily control the speed. Slow down for the tough spots and fast for the thin spots, making you more efficient overall

The formulas I found give a horsepower of about 22, assuming a 65% efficiency in the hydraulic motor. GPM x PSI / 1714 @65%. Don't know if 65% is a pretty standard efficiency or not. Dan

doggggboy, when I ordered my hydraulic motor from www.surpluscenter.com I asked the tech rep and gave him my numbers and he chose the motor for my use, I have a harbor freight 3 point quick hitch bolted to a backing plate now and wanting to make a motorized version as well. Very simple and reasonable.

Thanks guys. I talked to HyPower hydraulics today. He said any motor that he tests on the bench at less than 80% efficiency either gets rebuilt or scrapped so I guess 65% is pretty low. I should be able to get a backing plate, motor and hoses for about half what the skidsteersolutions guys want and get around 30hp to drive the blower with. Any pictures yet Mr Jimi? Dan
