I'll use this thread for those who are interested in seeing my Thomas T133 come back from the rust pits. There may be a question or two thrown in here and there but for the most part it will be mostly before and after pics.
This first set of pics are of the Step Shield. After spending about an hour pounding on a chunk of steel almost 1/8th inch thick and not being able to “bench” the thing back into shape, I called a friend who owns a sheet metal shop and asked him to make me a new one. Yup... new is much better than (almost) pounded back into shape. The cost was a bit steep... steak and eggs breakfast.
No need to identify the before and after... Hint: The old part is at the top.
