Can somebody please tell me how the battery leads are supposed to be on the 243 s skid loader? Someone had taken the ground from the threaded stud in the battery compartment and put a long bolt from the top of the engine mount along with some crude spacer blocks to compensate for using too long of a bolt. It seems like that wouldn't be a reliable spot since it is mounted in rubber. There is other grounds to chassis but shouldn't you have one from battery to the engine block or chassis? The spot in the battery box is on the roll over cage which also has rubber although I understand that the bolt goes all the way through. I took the ground off of the engine mount when I installed new mounts. Trying to decide where to run ground. Maybe both? I have seen no information in the manual on this other than in one of the illustrations in the manual kind of looks like it goes to the threaded stud in the battery box. I am assuming previous owner had a problem at some point or they wouldn't have tried moving it.
