Thermostat Query

Ok so Cummins want $110 for a Thermostat for my Mustang , can one not just match the dia. and temp and use any Thermostat ? I dont see why not !

No reason why one won't work if you can match the diameter and temperature on the old one. The issue is, no one seems to have data on that, they just go by model and year

when you take the old one out the temp. should be stamped on it somewhere , I would suspect that 180 degree F should work ok if it is not a newish machine then 195 I think if it has emissions.
