Hello All, I just bought my first skid steer. It is an old New Holland L775. Its a good old machine but a bit clapped out. I hope to start fixing up some odds and ends. The first thing I want to start with is a hydraulic leak, but before I tackle that I need to fix the broken sight glass on the hydraulic tank. If any one can share some tips on the best way to do that please let me know. I am assuming I need to pull the upper tank, but if there is another way please let me know. Also would appreciate an tips and links about the L775. I have some of the manuals, but have not seen anything about the tank itself. Thank you, Peter

Well I have some of the little things fixed, but still have a major leak on one of the bucket cylinder. It appears that someone welded the cap on....
The problem I am asking about today is way worse. On the left side drive I don't have reverse. Forward works fine. I have read that some times the problem is a pressure relief valve. I have the Cessna drive system. The backplate has 3 pressure relief valves. Two of them look easy (relatively) to get to, but the third looks almost impossible. The question is should I pull the two easier ones? Which one? I have learned that unless your pretty sure it is the problem, don't take it apart. It often does more harm than good. If there are no recommendations can anyone tell me how the valves work? Also the machine has two speed ranges, how does that play into the way the system works?

Thanks,
Peter
