Trying to replace battery on my T595. There is no label on it. What size should I be looking for? How many CCA should I be looking for? Sorry... manual is somewhat vague.

On those T595s you want to match the physical size and post location first, then worry about CCA. Measure the tray and height you have to work with and pay attention to whether the positive cable reaches the correct side without stretching.

Most of those machines use a Group 48 / H6 style battery in the 12V, 700-800 CCA range. Anything in that group size with around 750 CCA or higher will crank it fine, and going a bit higher on CCA is OK as long as it fits and the posts clear the hold-downs and hood.

Thanks for the reply. When I called my local parts place he said a T595 is a group 24 size, but he didn't really seem super confident. I managed to find a "Bobcat battery reference" document on the internet, and it suggests either part 7269859 (group 24 / 650 CCA) or part 7269857 (group 31A / 1000 CCA) ... nothing about group 48 for my loader? Still confused!

Well, if your dead set on getting a exact OEM battery, best bet is to try a different dealer than knows
what to sell you!

other wise, measure the battery you got, then check spec's on other battery's of a size that will fit in the battery tray on your machine and have terminals in same spot as current battery!

odds are MANY different sized batteries will work just fine problem free

if you live were temps get below freezing, the higher the amps' IMO the better! for cold weather starts, which is why I gather they call for either a 24 or a 31A , with the 31A being for colder environments!

if you look at bobcats'chart for your machine they call for two different types of batteries too
from group 31a or group 24, I am guessing they share a same size or close and difference will be cold cranking amps and such, and then prices!
you can then pick what brand you like or price shop

but again, odds are any 12 volt battery with 660+amps and fits in your battery try and has terminals in right spot will work for you

IMO the bigger the battery the better and just cause the battery is a certain group does not mean all have the same amp rating, keep that in mind. I try to put group 31 in everything that will accept that size.

Any time you see a battery with the terminals in the center they are going to be 99% of the time a group 31, it makes it nice for construction equipment that have 12 volts equipment and 24 volt equipment with out needing to know if it is a positive terminal on the right or left as it dosent matter, the difference is a lot of time they are going to be 3/8 studs on top and not posts that said they also sell screw on post, if you checked the local Truck Dealer ships ie Freightliner KW and peterbuilt they can be very competitive for cost, normallylarge trucks have 4 of them changed at a time so they sell a lot of them however napa and tractor supply and other farm stores carry group 31 as well, the picture I see in the skid steer looks to have a group 31 battery.
