At 1230 hrs, I hit routinely the PTOL button and got no yellow lift/tilt light but did get a red ACS warning light. The code was 39-05. Lifted lap bar, put it down, hit PTOL button and all was normal. Same thing happened at 1290 hrs, except it was a 40-05 code. I don't find either of these codes listed in either my O&M manual or my svc manual. Anyone know what they mean? (error codes make me nervous, after my last $3500 experience with a deteriorating swash plate sensor) Thx, :-) ---RC

Problem solved, per info provided by my friendly and usually helpful Bobcat service manager. Those error codes occur when a joystick is not in neutral when the PTOL button is pushed. I can duplicate the error by holding either joystick off-center then pushing the PTOL button. I forget what the exact terminology is, but that's where these errors come from. Same thing for pushing the joystick forward and then hitting the PTOL button, different error code, but same basic concept. The tech note mentioned that sometimes the rubber boot can hold the joystick off neutral and cause that problem. :-) ---RC

Something so simple, yet so frustrating. Glad it was such a simple fix.
