I did it!!! After getting another headache trying to figure out what went wrong with my 553 Bobcat Bobcat, trying to get the so-called "traction lock" to release on one of my machines and reading on here about a temporary "fix", I used my Machinist/mechanical background and came up with a permanent fix! I call it my "traction lock test solenoid". If anyone wants one I'll weld one up for you and send it to you for $30.00 - including postage. All you'll need to install it (after removing your original TL solenoid) is an allen wrench and a little RTV silicone. The permanent fix for your Bobcat traction lock woes!!! DISCLAIMER: THIS DEVICE IS ONLY TO BE USED AS A WAY TO TEST IF YOUR TRACTION LOCK SOLENOID IS FAULTY. BY PURCHASING THIS DEVICE YOU AGREE TO ASSUME ALL LIABILITY FOR ANY INJURIES OR DAMAGE THE INSTALLATION OF THIS DEVICE MAY CAUSE. Want one? Contact me at [email protected]

Did this solution solve the seat bar magnet issue you were having? Or will it solve any issues concerning traction issues?
