I'm looking at either a CAT SG 16 B or a Erskine stump grinder. Both seem to be similar but the Cat is about $2000 more. Hopefully the Cat is better for the extra money. Both are offered as usable with our Cat 262 C2. Do you have any experience with either or can you offer some guidance? The Erskine at $5100 is tempting. Thanks, Bob

Do you have the 7 or 12 pin electrical connector? If you have a 7 pin and either takes a 7 pin you're OK. If you have a 7 pin and and either takes a 12 pin you're sunk. If you have a 12 pin and either takes a 7 pin once again, you're sunk. You pay more for CAT for a reason-reliability, dealer support and resale. Can you get parts for the Erskine as easily as a CAT etc?

The Cat 262 skidsteer has an 8 pin connection. 3 over 2 over 3 for 8 pins. The Erskine dealer (Titan) is checking to see if I can use the existing right hand control wand (with the Cat 8 pin connector) instead of having to buy an Erskine joy stick for an additional $150. Do the Erskines hold up? Any comments are appreciated. Thank you, Bob
