This sounds a lot like problems you get when the alloy arms wear and it allows the shaft to turn on its own causing it to jump. My S250 had this, i had to machine the linkage and shim it, worked a treat.The bolts may be tight, but if the arm is worn it will move how ever it wants to causing a lot of frustration.</blockquote>
