I've been looking around the net for spiral hose wrap and WOW!, for something so simple it sure is expensive. Any of you guys use an alternative or know where I can pick up about 24' for a reasonable price?.

Black is fine and whatever size to wrap two hoses together. All my hoses are 7/8 I.D...
Thanks
McMaster Carr has black ultraviolet resistant spiral hose wrap. http://www.mcmaster.com/ Just type in 788 in the search box and it will take you right to the page in the catalog you need. They have all different sizes and lengths and their shipping is cheap. For the size that wraps 3/4"-5" its $9.67 for 10 feet.

I just wrapped all the wiring , steering cables , fuel lines and everything else in my boat wth the nylon/semi hard plastic flat bad spiral , I forgot the name of it already , you are right about it being expensive but it did a really fine job , I bought it by the foot but depending on how big of coverage you are doing you loose a lot so keep that in mind as you said you neede 20 something feet , if you wrap it tight you will need alot more , I paid close to $4 a foot ----------you know Perry today I found an extra brake wedge with the bolt , spring and plunger all assemblied , send me a self addressed stamped padded envolope as it is about 1 lb and 6 inches long and it's your if you still need it

Thanks OM, I can more than live with that price, the others I looked at were 100' mininums for somewhere around $300.
Fish, you have no contact link?. Send me an email.

Got the spiral wrap from McMaster-Carr, recommended by Old Machinist and it works great, I figured 6' for each attachment and came up short about 20% or so. If you order figure 8' for each attachment.
