742b Hydraulic fluid good. Runs great lifts and tilts and does everything great. BUT....I get a slapping sound on the right side of the machine. I'm thinking a chain is slapping but I'm not to sure where to start looking for where the sounds coming from. It's hard with just myself not anyone around to listen. Ideas anybody.

I think you are correct about the chain it is really the only thing that I would think that would make a sound like that. It is a adjustment that is a part of normal maint. so I would do both sides , and I would also check for bearing slop in the axles, a bad bearing could be creating aa loose chain.

They don't have adjustment as such, they do have chain guides insode the chain case that could be worn down, allowing the chain to slap thebottom of the chain case. Generally when you hear that noise, your chain has stretched and needs changine to stop it.
