We've had several foot control 2 Speed Bobcats and loved the S250 machine. Finally traded off an 8800 hour machine for a new S750 with SJC. Seemed the industry was moving that way so we would too. After 130 hours on the new machine, we are not happy with the machine performance - particularly the Selectable Joystick Controls. The machine has to be at high idle to get anywhere! We compared our machine to one of our 7800 hour S-250 machines and while it is a larger machine, doesn't have near the travel speed, especially reverse. We've asked our selling dealer if there is a setting/adjustment we can do to match our other machines, and he wasn't aware of any. Does anybody here know how to tune the performance of the SJC on a 2019 S750 machine for achieving advertised travel speed? Better yet, achieve it at a reduced high idle like our tractor transmissions do and let the extra engine rpm provide more boom hyd if needed. Thanks everyone. Adam

Is it not a two speed machine? Yes it can be adjusted using the left panel. Check the operator manual for adjustment process, I can't remember without sitting in the machine. I would surprised if it was not a two speed machine.

It is a two speed machine. And best we can tell - the setting for speed is only on the slow/first speed. No adjustment to high side travel speed. Unless you know something not in the Operator Manual? I would guess this machine goes about 10 mph, not nearly the 12 our other machines do. And the travel speed doesn't appear to be linear with accelerator either.

Try the speed management option. It's the button on the left joystick that looks like a snail. Press that button and turn all the way up.

I'm having the same issues with my 2017 S595. Speed management only adjust the 1st (slower speed) and does not affect anything when in 2 speed. My S595 can only do about 9 mph in the second speed and not the 11 mph advertised. What's worse is this is with slightly larger than factory tire diameter so the machine should travel faster than advertised.

Any help for adjusted the top speed an SJC bobcat would be appreciated.
