rear door hinges- bought the new pins from bobcat dealer and am getting ready to install here in the next few days. Q: has anyone put hinges/pins on these machines? i am assuming i can use the same hinges (the steel portion welded to the machine that recieve the pins) although the pins look bent and a little mangled resulting in me having to wrestle with the 100lb door to get it to latch(have new latch mechanism as well installed) this has resulted in the female key hole for the latch assembly being dinged and bent in from the long term unproper alignment. what is the best approach to get a functioning door like the one from the factory, I have all the neccesary tools to complete, would love some additional input on experieces - do's and don't s... Q2: Radiator - took a tree limb impact and dented the radiator , small mist hole is loosing fluid, - does anyone have custom fix - brazing? etc? without damaging coil flow/area? i also have to rebuild the radiator lover cover because of the impact and was thinking about using a tight expanded metal with good prime/paint and the original spring assembley. Q3: Temp gauge is not working, sensor is dangling behind the alternator, but i just cant figure out where to plug it in, can anyone explain.. thanks alot, this forum has been extremely helpful to my sanity.. I'd take the radiator to a shop and get them to plug the leaking tube(s). They can also pressure test and clean it so you know its rite.
On the hinges wear both the pins and the round bosses welded to the chassis wear. The only TRUE fix is to cut the old ones off and weld new ones on. The new pins will help, but it won't make it perfect as you have wear in the bosses on the machine.
I can't tell you where the temp sender attaches, sorry but i'd be looking at your thermostat housing as this is where it should be plugged in.

There are two engines in the 843. I am familiar with the Isuzu. As for the rear door hinge, the last one I fixed was drilling out the fixed pieces and using a grade 8 bolt for each pin. The radiator repair is usually done with solder. I have fixed the radiator in my car and truck with plumbing solder. It's easy to test a radiator by plugging the outlet and inlet with a cut up innertube. Leave the valve on one of them and put in 5 psi. Submerge in water and look for leaks. You can clean your radiator by electrolysis or by acid if you neutralize properly.
