Message: <blockquote data-quote="irvi00" data-source="post: 47867" data-attributes="member: 3948"><p>Mike10, I do appreciate your concern for safety with these machines.  With that being said, I just don't see it's purpose for SOME situations.  I am an owner/operator, no one else gets on my machine, therefore I believe it to be my choice and my risk.  When I'm working up my firewood I keep the seatbelt locked in behind my back in the seat while working.  Having to unlock the belt and lock it back every single time I leave the seat is a waste of time and quite frankly a little overkill.  I do use the seatbelt when working in steep, rough terrain, but otherwise it is a nuisance and not necessary in 90 percent of my working enviroment.  Besides, the seat switch covers this.  Anytime I leave my seat, the boom locks and now I have to toggle a 2 dollar switch as opposed to a god knows how much seat belt latch.</p></blockquote><p></p>
