It will be fixed in place on the seat bar so as the seat bar moves, so does the magnet. The sender is fixed to the frame so it will not move and when the magnet rotates enough it will activate the sender.The key is to get everything moving that should move and lock down everything that should not move. Over time you get rust that breaks things off, especially locking tabs for the magnet.Does the light come on when you start the machine and with the sender and magnet in hand, rotate it slowly while watching the dash?</blockquote>
