I found out this evening that the front window of my 773 is safety glass, I had always thought it was polycarbonate or PlexiGlass. I was lifting a large stump when a big root sprung back and whacked the glass. I was immediately showered with little pieces of glass. Man, there was a lot of glass in that windshield. It ended up everywhere in the cab and all over me. I had it down the back of my jacket and shirt also, so I called it quits early and went home to change.
I'll find out in the morning how much a new piece of glass costs. When I bought the machine, I thought they told me about $150, but that was over 2 years ago. I'll also have to take the shop vac out and clean out the cab of the loader. There goes any profit from that job.

I'm glad you're all right. Hope the price doesn't turn out too bad. Yeah... I was wondering the same thing when the G-series came out in 1999. Bobcat doesn't seem to offer that Lexan glass anymore, so I assumed that the cab door became safety glass. Guess it didn't.

$154.24 for the new cab window. My windshield wiper has a different size sleeve, so they have to order me a $2.50 bushing before I can mount the wiper unit. Should have the new glass installed shortly.
