Hi folks,
I have a customer with an S750 with a broken wire at the fuel rail sensor plug. Right flush with the plug, so I can't just splice the wire. Local dealer says my only option is to replace the whole engine harness, at about $1300, and a day or two of labor. Not the end of the world, but do I have other options? Does anyone make pigtails for these harnesses? I don't see a way to buy pins or pin removal tools either. Any thoughts?

I had the plug on my ranger a/c pressure sensor plug chewed right at the plug by a squirrel. I was able to nibble away just enough to get a small tit of wire out and put a drop of sodder on it, and taped the hell out of it trying to make like a strain relief to keep vibration down off the joint. It has been a coupla years on it has not failed yet. good luck it was a pain.
