So loader was working fine a week ago. Now all of a sudden not turning and will not go up or down under load. We get an odd pulsating noise (similar to a grinding noise) Checked the hydro system and saw fine metal (brass). So I call the local dealer and they tell me that once one of these pumps go I am looking at needing to replace all the 3 pumps and system from all the brass trashing everything. Goes on to say last one they did ended up being around 14K. Anyone ever have similar situation and what were the results.

Brass sounds like the wear plates in the pumps. If a drive motor fails it can get trash in the system that will take the pumps out.
The problem is the particles can be anywhere now too. You can rebuild the pumps and motors for less than 14k. The drive pumps may need new parts, but should be repairable. The gear pump may not be any good from wear, it needs to be opened up to inspect if it was damaged or not.
All the lines will need clearing out.

I would not condemn the hydraulic system until proper testing has been done. Is the drive belt ok? Problems with the belt equal nothing working. I have seen the pump pulley spin on shaft, still not a cheap fix, but the pumps are not junk. Where did you find the metal? Spin the filter off, sucked some fluid out or opened up the case drain? Case drain filters normally have a little metal in them, no big deal. Do you have power bobtach? If there is any metal in the system the vavle will catch it and not work. If power bobtach works, there can't be much metal in the system.

After seeing something in the hydro fluid, we took off the filter, cutt it open and there was the little bits of brass everywhere. Too small to call flakes, more like sediment in and around the filter element.
