Keyless start panel dead. Found fuse 4 blown. Replaced and blew again as soon as installed. Disconnected battery replaced fuse and reconnected. Blew again. Disconnected battery. Removed J1 connector from P/N 6678674 Controller. Installed new fuse, reconnected battery and fuse did not blow. Problem must be inside controller or somewhere downstream. Not a computer guy and don't have any info on inside of controller except what available on the Manuals Wiring Schematic"S300 S/N 521511001 @ above (WITHOUT OPTIONS)". Mine is S/N 521512074. Don't want to replace controller and find problem elsewhere. HELP!!

If you reconnect the controler and your short comes back then it is your controler. Before you put it back check along top of cab for rubbed thru wires especially where zip ties go around and any of the clamps that hold the harness.

Thanks redman3638. Checked the wiring from fuse 4 to J1 with multimeter with pwr applied (12V at pins 13, 28 & 33). With pwr off checked again and continuity to ground. Checked wire harness above LH window, across front of cab and connectors to the LH & RH (Deluxe) Instrumentation Panels. All looked good. Reconnected J1 to controller, connected battery pwr and inserted new fuse in F4. Fuse blew as soon as connection was made. Looks like may need a new controller. Any suggestions for best price. Are there any problems outside controller which could cause controller to fail? If yes can anyone provide a test procedure. Don't want new controller to fail. Are there any connectors in harness run behind the seat? The rear window has been out for some time and maybe connectors (If Any) have gotten wet. Thank for any suggestions!!

New controller has to be programmed by a Bobcat dealer for your machine's serial number, hours and installed options.

Has to be the dealer. Just gonna have to suck it up. Should be 2 hours labor plus unit. If something else happens its on them because they have to warranty the part and labor.

Fix it yet? What did the dealer get ya for? Was it true about the programming?
